The assignment was for 7 months spread over a period of 12 months between January 2011 – January 2012
2010
- Comprehensive Review and Needs Assessment for Capacity Building of NGOs in Asia and the Pacific Region, Phase 1, for International Council on Management of Population Programmes (ICOMP) based in Malaysia. Scanned and mapped the NGOs working in Reproductive Health, Population and Development and Prevention of HIV and AIDS in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal in order to identify the successes, gaps and capacity building needs. This initiative was part of the UNFPA’s NGO strategies for Asia and the Pacific. November 2010 – March 2011
- Experience sharing and participatory monitoring methodology workshop for Deutscher Entwicklungsdienst (DED). The participatory monitoring method supported the Technical Advisors to develop their capacity in the field through regular meetings with a purpose to exchange experiences and to share knowledge. - Cross-Cultural Orientation and Preparatory Support Package for Visiting (Expatriate) Consultants of Fornebu Consulting Norway. This programme aimed at making the consultants and the local partners aware of the sensitivity of the cultural diversity of Nepal and the communities they would be exposed to. This programme also aimed to support the consultants to gain an understanding and respect of the cultural differences between the consultants and the people they would work with and those they would come in contact with during their stay in Nepal.
